{TESS+} provides a suite of training and online webinars to build the capacity of personnel who manage, design, implement and support UN Security Communication Systems. Some of the learning opportunities are outlined below. If you would like to discuss further, please email tess@wfp.org.
{TESS+} Regional Training Programme:

{TESS+} is running a regional training programme in six regional locations which started in 2023 and conclude in mid-2024. The regional training programme offers an in-depth induction into UN SCS contextualized to the regions in which they are being delivered. The goal of the regional programme is to provide participants with a holistic overview of SCS from a security and technical perspective. The first regional trainings have been delivered in Bangkok (August 2023), Dakar (September 2023), and Panama (February 2024). The next regional trainings will be held in Nairobi (April 2024), Johannesburg (May 2024), and Cairo (May/June 2024).

Tailored onsite SCS training (on request):

{TESS+} provides tailored onsite SCS training based on request. Onsite trainings are designed to train local teams to manage, design and operate their UN SCS. {TESS+} missions integrate local teams in SCS assessments and deployments and provides training to local ICT Working Groups (ICTWG) on how to manage and maintain an SCS based on the UN standards. Online SCS remote training (on request):

{TESS+} provides remote training on SCS to ICTWGs and other in-country stakeholders. The aim of our online trainings is to deliver customised sessions to country stakeholders on UN SCS standards, including radio programming and maintenance, in a cost effective manner. Online SCS VHF/UHF training package (available to download):

The aim of this online training package is to introduce radio basics and two-way VHF/UHF radio communications for those who maintains UN SCS systems. The training package consists of the following four modules:
Module 1: Radio frequency (RF) basics
Module 2: Standards for VHF/UHF radios
Module 3: Radio programming
Module 4: Installation, best practice and troubleshooting

Webinars (open for all)

{TESS+} delivers regular online webinars for {TESS+} Online Community members on different topics related to UN Security Communication Systems. The aim of {TESS+} webinars is to strengthen capacity, develop awareness of UN SCS and share information relevant to {TESS+} stakeholders.
